Occupational Therapy (O.T.) services, in regards to ergonomic needs, are for clients, of any age and any ability, in this outpatient setting. If you are unsure if occupational therapy is right for you or your condition, you may schedule a free consultation with the therapist.
Once the decision has been made to begin therapy, the process may begin with a prescription from the client's doctor. Should insurance coverage for service be desired, a call will be placed to determine the amount of coverage and if a prior authorization is required. Next, the client will complete a comprehensive intake packet prior to the evaluation.
Once the therapist has all of the above information (a prescription, insurance information, and the completed intake forms), the client will be contacted to set up the 1-2 hour evaluation. The evaluation may be partially done at Offering Hope Therapies, and partially at the locale of the ergonomic need. After the evaluation, a report including personalized recommendations will be generated, and the therapist will submit information to the doctor, insurance, and to the client. After approval from the insurance company and doctor, the therapy treatments, if needed, can be scheduled. Frequency and duration for the treatment visits will be determined with the client based on condition and situation.
